Grand Forks, N.D.<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 Police in Grand Forks say two men were arrested after a reported stolen car chase ended in a ditch.<\/p>\n

Authorities say the report came in around 5:35 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026. The caller reported a vehicle stolen from 419 N. 6th Street.<\/p>\n

Police say the suspects were identified as Christopher Davis, 28, and Tristan Amyotte, 20. Investigators say the two men got into the vehicle and drove away.<\/p>\n

Chase ends in a snowy ditch<\/h2>\n

Officers later spotted the vehicle and tried to stop it, police said. Authorities say the driver did not stop, and a pursuit began.<\/p>\n

The chase was short, according to police. Snowy road conditions made control difficult, police said.<\/p>\n

Police say the vehicle left the roadway and became stuck in a ditch. Officers then moved in to arrest the suspects.<\/p>\n

Foot chase and arrests<\/h2>\n

Police say both men ran from the vehicle on foot. Officers caught them a short distance away, authorities said.<\/p>\n

No injuries were reported. Police say both men were taken into custody without incident.<\/p>\n

The vehicle was returned to its owner, police said. Davis and Amyotte were then taken to jail.<\/p>\n

Charges listed by police<\/h2>\n

Davis faces several allegations, police said. They include driving with a suspended license, motor vehicle theft, fleeing in a vehicle, and possession of stolen property.<\/p>\n

Amyotte is accused of possession of stolen property, police said. He is also accused of possessing a concealed weapon.<\/p>\n
