Granite Falls<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) A 57-year-old Isanti man faces two felony charges.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors charged Jack Leonard Williams<\/strong> after a reported incident on February 7, 2026.<\/p>\n

Court documents say the events happened in Granite Falls and along Highway 23.<\/p>\n

Police were sent to Casey\u2019s General Store at about 8:17 p.m., the complaint says.<\/p>\n

Williams told officers a woman left him at the store, according to the filing.<\/p>\n

He said he had been in Minneota to help repair a vehicle.<\/p>\n

He said they argued while driving back toward Granite Falls.<\/p>\n

The woman told police she felt unsafe during the drive.<\/p>\n

She said Williams made violent threats during the argument.<\/p>\n

She said he threatened to cut off her head, the complaint alleges.<\/p>\n

She said he also mentioned eating it with a fork.<\/p>\n

She also reported a threat to beat her, the filing says.<\/p>\n

Police later upgraded the call to a reported assault, the complaint states.<\/p>\n

Officers also searched Williams\u2019 backpack, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

They reported finding a battery and five socket sets.<\/p>\n

The items were still in original packaging, the filing says.<\/p>\n

Charges and court<\/h2>\n

Williams is charged with felony Threats of Violence<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He is also charged with felony Domestic Assault<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Court records show the case was filed on February 10, 2026.<\/p>\n

Williams appeared in Yellow Medicine County District Court.<\/p>\n

Judge Keith Helgeson set bail at $50,000 without conditions.<\/p>\n

He set bail at $25,000 with conditions, court records show.<\/p>\n

Williams remained in custody after the hearing.<\/p>\n

The complaint also cites a 2020 felony no-contact violation in Isanti County.<\/p>\n
