Becker County (trfnews.i234.me)<\/a> \u2014<\/strong> Priscilla Jo Bevins, 52, of rural Ogema, was sentenced in district court.<\/p>\n

She pleaded guilty to felony fifth-degree drug possession and a DWI count.<\/p>\n

Two other charges were dismissed in a plea agreement.<\/p>\n

What led to the case<\/h2>\n

Court records say a tribal police officer stopped Bevins on February 1, 2025.<\/p>\n

The stop followed reports of erratic driving.<\/p>\n

Officers gave field sobriety tests at the scene.<\/p>\n

The tests showed signs of impairment from chemicals.<\/p>\n

A search of her purse found needles and blue rubber tie-offs.<\/p>\n

Records also list a small plastic bag with meth.<\/p>\n

The meth field-tested positive and weighed 0.21 grams.<\/p>\n

Plea deal details<\/h2>\n

In the plea deal, prosecutors dropped two counts.<\/p>\n

They dismissed a charge of driving after her license was canceled.<\/p>\n

They also dismissed a charge of giving a false name to an officer.<\/p>\n

Records show Bevins had a prior DWI conviction in 2020.<\/p>\n

Sentence and probation terms<\/h2>\n

On January 15, Judge Gretchen Thilmoney ordered 21 months at MCF-Shakopee.<\/p>\n

The judge stayed the prison term for five years.<\/p>\n

That means prison is possible if she breaks probation rules.<\/p>\n

The court also ordered 20 days in jail, with credit for time served.<\/p>\n

Bevins must pay $690 in fines and court fees.<\/p>\n

She was placed on supervised probation for five years.<\/p>\n

The judge ordered Bevins to enter and complete Drug Court.<\/p>\n

She must complete a full assessment for chemical use.<\/p>\n

She must complete cognitive skills training.<\/p>\n

She must also get a mental health evaluation.<\/p>\n
