Officers with the Grand Forks Police Department responded at 4:33 p.m. Saturday, February 14. The call reported a stabbing at Lagrave Place Apartments. The complex is at 812 4th Ave. S.<\/p>\n

What happened<\/h2>\n

Police said they found a woman with stab wounds. Paramedics took her to Altru<\/a> for treatment. Police said her injuries were not life-threatening.<\/p>\n

Officers secured the area while medics helped the victim. Detectives then began interviews. They also looked for signs inside the building.<\/p>\n

Police have not released details about what led to the stabbing. Police have not said if the victim knew the suspect. Police have not said what weapon was used.<\/p>\n

Arrest and charges<\/h2>\n

Police identified the suspect as Fernando Lucio of Grand Forks. Officers located Lucio a short time later, police said. He was found at a neighboring apartment building.<\/p>\n
