Clay County (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>)<\/strong> \u2014 Drivers in west central Minnesota are being urged to slow down after a slippery stretch of Interstate 94 sent vehicles into the ditch east of Moorhead on Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Slippery I-94 Conditions Near Moorhead<\/h2>\n

According to information from west central Minnesota authorities, crews responded to I-94 near milepost 4, just east of Moorhead, at about 3:30 p.m. on December 8.<\/p>\n

Officials reported slippery roads and increasing wind in the area.<\/p>\n

Vehicles slid into the ditch, but there were no injury reports connected to the incident.<\/p>\n

Responders asked drivers to slow down, give extra room, and watch for squad cars and tow trucks.<\/p>\n

Officials: Headlights On, Move Over, Slow Down<\/h2>\n

Authorities stressed that drivers should have both headlights and taillights on while traveling in low-visibility or slick conditions.<\/p>\n

They also reminded motorists of Minnesota\u2019s \u201cmove over\u201d law, which requires drivers to move over a lane or slow down when passing stopped emergency or maintenance vehicles.<\/p>\n

Crews were assisting motorists in the ditch along I-94 and said passing traffic needed to reduce speed.<\/p>\n

Higher speeds on slippery pavement leave drivers with little time to react to stopped vehicles or sudden lane changes.<\/p>\n
