The report involves a ride home after a Christmas party, according to court records.<\/p>\n

Blake Tearle Amorim Athay<\/strong>, 27, of Goodridge, is charged with fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct.<\/p>\n

Other guests decided he needed to go home.<\/p>\n

A sober young woman offered to drive him.<\/p>\n

A male passenger also rode in the car, the complaint states.<\/p>\n

As the woman drove, Athay allegedly tried to grab her hand.<\/p>\n

The complaint says he also reached for other parts of her body.<\/p>\n

The woman told him to stop.<\/p>\n

Despite those efforts, the complaint alleges Athay continued unwanted sexual touching.<\/p>\n

She locked the car doors right away, the complaint states.<\/p>\n

She returned to the party and told her mother.<\/p>\n

The mother reported the incident to law enforcement, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Charge filed in February<\/h2>\n

A deputy followed up on the report on Dec. 26, the complaint states.<\/p>\n

Another deputy had taken an initial report the day before.<\/p>\n

The state later filed a charge under Minnesota\u2019s fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct law.<\/p>\n
