Wright County<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Dassel woman is facing a new driving charge after a late-night stop in Waverly.<\/p>\n

Charge filed<\/h2>\n

April May Saravia<\/strong>, 44, of Dassel, is charged with Driving After Cancellation with an ignition interlock restriction.<\/p>\n

The charge is a gross misdemeanor, according to the criminal complaint.<\/p>\n

Driving after cancellation means a person drives when the state has canceled driving privileges.<\/p>\n

What the police say happened<\/h2>\n

Court documents say a deputy saw a vehicle with a driver-side headlight that was not working.<\/p>\n

The vehicle was on U.S. Highway 12 near Waverly, the complaint says.<\/p>\n

The deputy stopped the vehicle at about 10:03 p.m. on February 6, 2026, according to the filing.<\/p>\n

The driver was identified as Saravia, the complaint says.<\/p>\n

The deputy checked her license status and saw an ignition interlock restriction.<\/p>\n

That restriction requires an interlock device in any vehicle she operates.<\/p>\n

The deputy inspected the vehicle and reported that no interlock device was installed.<\/p>\n

The complaint says Saravia admitted the device was not installed.<\/p>\n

The filing also lists prior interlock violations on October 21, 2025, and December 20, 2025.<\/p>\n
