Perham, Otter Tail County (trfnews.i234.me)<\/a><\/strong> \u2014 A 45-year-old woman is recovering after a stabbing at a trailer park.<\/p>\n

The attack happened Saturday morning, Feb. 7, 2026, on Fourth Avenue Northwest in Perham.<\/p>\n

Authorities say 22-year-old Cyrus Lee Olson forced his way into the woman\u2019s apartment.<\/p>\n

They say he stabbed her several times.<\/p>\n

A neighbor later identified the victim as Tessa.<\/p>\n

Investigators have not released her last name.<\/p>\n

The neighbor heard screams<\/h2>\n

Neighbor Keath Sleen<\/strong> said he heard loud noises and screaming.<\/p>\n

He said he first thought people were arguing.<\/p>\n

Sleen opened a window and yelled to distract the attacker.<\/p>\n

He said he also threw chairs to draw the man\u2019s attention.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven yelling at him barely worked,\u201d Sleen said.<\/p>\n

Sleen called 911 soon after.<\/p>\n

He said the distraction helped deputies reach the apartment.<\/p>\n

Authorities said the neighbor\u2019s actions may have saved her life.<\/p>\n

Sleen said he is shaken and hopes she recovers.<\/p>\n

Victim treated and airlifted<\/h2>\n

Despite serious injuries, Tessa reached a nearby friend\u2019s apartment.<\/p>\n

Perham EMS treated her at the scene.<\/p>\n

She was taken to Perham Hospital<\/a> for emergency care.<\/p>\n

She was later airlifted to a regional medical center.<\/p>\n

Her condition was listed as serious.<\/p>\n

Charges and next steps<\/h2>\n

Olson is being held at the Otter Tail County Detention Center<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He faces multiple felony charges.<\/p>\n

They include attempted second-degree murder and first-degree burglary.<\/p>\n

Aggravated robbery and second-degree assault are also listed.<\/p>\n

Authorities have not released a motive.<\/p>\n

They have not described any relationship between Olson and the victim.<\/p>\n

Olson is waiting for his first court appearance.<\/p>\n

All charges are allegations.<\/p>\n

Olson is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.<\/p>\n
