Otter Tail County<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Litchfield man will serve prison time.<\/p>\n

A jury convicted him in a cocaine case, according to court records.<\/p>\n

Jury verdict<\/h2>\n

Court records say Zachary Brian Oslund, 29, of Litchfield, was found guilty of two felonies.<\/p>\n

The counts were first-degree sale of a controlled substance and first-degree possession.<\/p>\n

Traffic stop and search<\/h2>\n

The case started with a traffic stop on Sept. 6, 2025, according to the file.<\/p>\n

Investigators searched the vehicle Oslund was driving after the stop.<\/p>\n

The search turned up a 2.386-pound brick of cocaine, the records say.<\/p>\n

Officers also found small baggies and a digital scale, which prosecutors linked to sales.<\/p>\n

Sentence<\/h2>\n

In Otter Tail County District Court, the judge sentenced Oslund to 65 months in prison.<\/p>\n

The court gave him 152 days of jail credit for time already served.<\/p>\n

Under state rules, he must serve at least two-thirds of the term in prison.<\/p>\n

That equals 43 1\/3 months, followed by up to 21 2\/3 months on supervised release.<\/p>\n

Statement to the court<\/h2>\n

Before sentencing, Oslund asked for a chance to rebuild his life.<\/p>\n

He told the court he wants help through treatment, therapy, or medication.<\/p>\n

He said jail was his first time locked up, and it was difficult.<\/p>\n

He also said the time gave him space to reflect and plan changes.<\/p>\n
