A criminal complaint says deputies and White Earth Police went to a home at 8:01 a.m. on February 3. The report said someone threatened people with a bat.<\/p>\n

What investigators say happened<\/h2>\n

Deputies spoke with an adult woman at the scene. She said she previously dated Lindsay. She said he was at her home and acted aggressively.<\/p>\n

The woman said she told him to leave. She said Lindsay pushed her down. She said he then spat on her face.<\/p>\n

The woman said a friend was also at the home. She said the friend argued with Lindsay. She said Lindsay then grabbed a bat.<\/p>\n

The woman said she locked herself inside the home. She said Lindsay kicked open the door. She said she called 911 right away.<\/p>\n

What Lindsay told the police<\/h2>\n

Deputies later spoke with Lindsay, according to the complaint. He said he was trying to leave. He said the woman would not let him go.<\/p>\n

Lindsay admitted he forced his way into the home, the complaint says. He said he pushed the door open. He also admitted he pushed the woman.<\/p>\n

Lindsay told police he did that after she pushed him first. Investigators will present the claims in court.<\/p>\n

Charges and court process<\/h2>\n

Prosecutors in Becker County charged Lindsay with two felony counts of first-degree burglary. One count alleges a person was in the building. Another count alleges a dangerous weapon.<\/p>\n

He also faces misdemeanor charges. They include domestic assault and damage to property.<\/p>\n

Charges are allegations. Lindsay is presumed innocent unless a court finds him guilty.<\/p>\n
