Brimson<\/strong> after a call about yelling and breaking glass. The call came in around 9:30 p.m. on Jan. 30. The location was an apartment on North A Street.<\/p>\n<p>Court documents say the caller heard a man yelling at a woman. The caller also heard glass breaking. The caller was unsure if the woman was still inside. The caller believed the man was not allowed there.<\/p>\n<h2>What the police say happened<\/h2>\n<p>Officers arrived and heard loud yelling inside the apartment, the filing says. They also heard crashing sounds. Officers knocked and announced themselves, records state.<\/p>\n<p>A man inside yelled profanities and racial slurs, the filing says. Officers say he also made threats. Moments later, the door opened quickly, police allege.<\/p>\n<p>Court documents say Brimson stepped out while yelling. Police say he shoved the storm door toward an officer. An officer drew a handgun, records state.<\/p>\n<p>Officers say Brimson turned toward them and raised his fists. Police say he moved forward in a fighting stance. One officer pushed him back, according to the filing.<\/p>\n<p>A second officer then tackled Brimson to the ground, court records say. Police say Brimson did not follow commands. Brimson<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>Threats and a squad car struggle<\/h2>\n<p>After the arrest, police say Brimson kept making threats. The filing says he yelled that he would \u201cknock\u201d an officer out.<\/p>\n<p>Officers searched him and walked him to a squad car, records state. Police say he refused to sit down. Officers pulled him into the car to secure him.<\/p>\n<p>Court documents say Brimson threatened to kill an officer during that struggle.<\/p>\n<h2>Who lived at the apartment?<\/h2>\n<p>Court records say the woman tied to the apartment was not home. The documents say she was in the process of moving.<\/p>\n<h2>Charges filed<\/h2>\n<p>Brimson faces a first-degree burglary charge, according to court records. He also faces two threats of violence counts. A criminal damage to property charge is also listed. Two misdemeanors are listed as well.
