Grand Forks County<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 Two people face felony drug charges after a traffic stop tied to a rest area along U.S. Highway 2.<\/p>\n

What investigators say happened<\/h2>\n

According to court documents, the incident happened on February 3 at the Larimore rest area. The rest area is west of Grand Forks.<\/p>\n

A state trooper reported seeing two people drop an item near a trash can. The documents say Justin Morin then went to the trash can area, got into a vehicle, and drove west.<\/p>\n

The trooper also had information that Morin\u2019s driver\u2019s license was canceled. A traffic stop was then made, according to the court filing.<\/p>\n

Fentanyl seizure reported<\/h2>\n

Morin, of Belcourt, was driving the vehicle, according to the documents. Kristen Bruce, of Rolla, was listed as the passenger.<\/p>\n

Court documents allege Bruce tried to hide a bag of fentanyl in her bra during the stop. Investigators reported seizing about 20 grams of fentanyl.<\/p>\n

Morin told authorities the drugs were for personal use, according to the filing. Investigators allege the amount supported an intent to deliver a charge.<\/p>\n

Charges filed<\/h2>\n

Both Morin and Bruce are charged with felony possession with intent to deliver fentanyl. Bruce also faces a charge of tampering with evidence, according to court records.<\/p>\n

Charging documents are allegations. The defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n
