Fargo, Cass County (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>)<\/strong> \u2014 A man charged in a deadly gang feud case has pleaded not guilty.<\/p>\n

C\u2019Aundre Douglas<\/strong>, 20, entered not guilty pleas to 12 felony counts. The pleas were entered in Cass County District Court. The court location details are listed by the North Dakota Court System<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The charges include murder, attempted murder, and multiple aggravated assault counts. Prosecutors also charged Douglas with reckless endangerment and criminal mischief.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors say Douglas is tied to three separate shooting incidents in 2025. One incident ended with the death of 20-year-old Elijah Hughes in South Fargo.<\/p>\n

What prosecutors allege<\/h2>\n

Douglas is accused of the Aug. 3, 2025, shooting death of Hughes. Prosecutors say the killing was retaliation in an escalating gang conflict. Douglas has not been convicted. The case remains pending.<\/p>\n

Three shooting incidents are named in the case<\/h2>\n

Aug. 3, 2025:<\/strong> Douglas faces a murder charge in Hughes\u2019 death. He also faces aggravated assault counts tied to the same incident.<\/p>\n

Police say the shooting happened less than an hour after another deadly shooting downtown. Investigators testified that Tyrque Jones was wrongly accused in that earlier case. That earlier case involved the shooting death of Azeem Holmes, according to court testimony.<\/p>\n

July 22, 2025:<\/strong> Douglas is charged after a downtown shooting near the Bell Insurance parking lot. He faces attempted murder, aggravated assault, and reckless endangerment counts.<\/p>\n

July 6, 2025:<\/strong> Douglas is charged in a shootout that triggered a lockdown near Essentia Health on 32nd Avenue South. Essentia lists its Fargo hospital at 3000 32nd Ave. S. at Essentia Health-Fargo<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Detectives describe a feud<\/h2>\n

During a Jan. 22 hearing, Fargo Police detectives testified about the alleged motive. Detectives said the violence stems from a rivalry between people linked to United Blood and Black Disciple Nations.<\/p>\n

Investigators said the conflict began over a girl. Detectives said the dispute has lasted at least a year. They also said several people involved live near the hospital area.<\/p>\n

The Fargo Police Department<\/a> lists public safety resources and contact information online.<\/p>\n

What happens next<\/h2>\n

Douglas remains held in the Cass County Jail, according to court statements. Cass County posts jail and inmate information through Cass County Corrections<\/a>.<\/p>\n
