Red Lake County<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 Deputies handled several calls last week. Reports came from Red Lake Falls Township, Red Lake Falls, and Plummer.<\/p>\n

The incidents were listed in a sheriff\u2019s office update dated Jan. 23, 2026. Several cases remain under investigation.<\/p>\n

Snowmobile crash near Red Lake Falls<\/h2>\n

On Saturday evening, Jan. 17, 2026, deputies responded to a snowmobile crash in Red Lake Falls Township. The Red Lake Falls Ambulance also responded.<\/p>\n

An adult man suffered a serious leg injury. He was taken to the Sanford Thief River Falls Emergency Center<\/a> for treatment.<\/p>\n

The crash investigation is ongoing. The sheriff\u2019s office has not released more details.<\/p>\n

Assault report in Plummer<\/h2>\n

On Sunday evening, Jan. 18, deputies received a report of an assault at a Plummer home. The report remains under investigation.<\/p>\n

No suspect or victim names were listed in the update. No charges were announced.<\/p>\n

Domestic call and other activity in Red Lake Falls<\/h2>\n

On Tuesday morning, Jan. 20, deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at a Red Lake Falls residence. Deputies spoke with the involved parties.<\/p>\n

Authorities determined no crime had occurred. The parties were counseled, and the situation was mediated.<\/p>\n

Later that day, deputies assisted with traffic control on Bridge Street. City maintenance workers repaired a light on the Clearwater Bridge.<\/p>\n

Deputies also helped with an occupied, stalled vehicle on Highway 32 north of Red Lake Falls. The driver received help,p and the vehicle was towed.<\/p>\n

Fraud report and second domestic call<\/h2>\n

On Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 21, a resident reported being a victim of fraud. Money was taken from a checking account without authorization.<\/p>\n

A deputy spoke with the victim and the bank. The sheriff\u2019s office opened an investigation.<\/p>\n

On Thursday evening, Jan. 22, deputies responded to another domestic disturbance in Plummer. Deputies spoke with the parties and mediated the incident.<\/p>\n
