Sentence handed down<\/h2>\n

Christopher Ryan Abrahamsen, 41, was sentenced Thursday, Jan. 8, in Pennington County District Court.<\/p>\n

He was convicted of first-degree controlled substance crime, a felony.<\/p>\n

A separate felony count was dismissed, court records show.<\/p>\n

The court imposed a 56-month prison term.<\/p>\n

The judge also ordered a lifetime ban on guns and ammunition.<\/p>\n

Abrahamsen must provide a DNA sample.<\/p>\n

He must pay $135 in fees and fines.<\/p>\n

What the complaint alleges<\/h2>\n

The case began with calls between an informant and a task force investigator on Jan. 22, 2024.<\/p>\n

The informant said Abrahamsen was willing to sell methamphetamine.<\/p>\n

Investigators gave the informant $500 in buy funds.<\/p>\n

They also provided an audio recording and transmitter device.<\/p>\n

The meeting was first planned for a garage in Thief River Falls.<\/p>\n

Investigators said Abrahamsen changed the meeting location.<\/p>\n

They met at the parking lot of Seven Clans Casino in Thief River Falls<\/a>.<\/p>\n

They later parked near 110th Street Northeast and 220th Avenue Northeast, the complaint says.<\/p>\n

The informant bought about 20.2 grams of meth, including the bag weight.<\/p>\n

Investigators requested an arrest warrant when the complaint was filed.<\/p>\n

Weapon allegation tied to dismissed count<\/h2>\n

The dismissed charge involved a pen gun and .22-caliber bullets, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

The informant took a photo of the pen gun and shared it with investigators.<\/p>\n

On the audio feed, Abrahamsen could be heard watching videos about pen guns.<\/p>\n

He also talked about loading the device with a .22-caliber round.<\/p>\n

Investigators said he did not fire the weapon during the deal.<\/p>\n

The informant reported Abrahamsen had a cataplexy episode during the meeting.<\/p>\n

The complaint said he remained coherent during the sale.<\/p>\n
