Sentence and court orders<\/h2>\n

Williams was convicted of a felony fleeing charge, according to court documents.<\/p>\n

A judge sentenced him to 13 months in prison.<\/p>\n

The prison term will run at the same time as another case.<\/p>\n

Two misdemeanor counts were dismissed.<\/p>\n

They alleged no proof of insurance and no driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n

Williams was ordered to provide a DNA sample.<\/p>\n

Traffic stop and chase<\/h2>\n

The case began on December 16, 2023, the complaint states.<\/p>\n

A Minnesota State Patrol trooper was asked to help stop Williams.<\/p>\n

He was linked to a reported domestic dispute in Roseau County.<\/p>\n

He was also accused in a gas drive-off, the complaint says.<\/p>\n

While parked roadside, the trooper saw Williams drive through Goodridge.<\/p>\n

The trooper estimated the speed at 80 to 90 miles per hour.<\/p>\n

The squad lights and siren were turned on, the complaint says.<\/p>\n

Williams kept driving and did not pull over.<\/p>\n

He also failed to stop at a stop sign, the complaint states.<\/p>\n

About four miles into the pursuit, Williams stopped.<\/p>\n

Court records place the stop near 280th Avenue Northeast.<\/p>\n

When asked why he did not stop, Williams gave no clear reason.<\/p>\n

He said he did not know and spoke in a confused way.<\/p>\n

The complaint says Williams could not show a driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n

He also could not provide proof of insurance at the stop.<\/p>\n
