Zimmerman, Sherburne County<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A 7-year-old girl was found safe after an AMBER Alert.<\/p>\n

A man is in custody in the Sherburne County Jail after an alleged abduction.<\/p>\n

The AMBER Alert was later canceled after she was found safe.<\/p>\n

What we know<\/h2>\n

The Sherburne County Sheriff\u2019s Office said the child was last seen around 4 p.m. Wednesday.<\/p>\n

She was seen getting off a school bus near her home.<\/p>\n

Sherburne County Dispatch received a missing-child report around 6:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

A community notice went out at 9:45 p.m.<\/p>\n

That notice mentioned a black car near the bus route.<\/p>\n

Investigators later ruled out any black vehicle involvement.<\/p>\n

An AMBER Alert was issued at 11:40 p.m. after new information came in.<\/p>\n

Search and recovery<\/h2>\n

Investigators used technology to develop a suspect vehicle.<\/p>\n

Authorities said the suspect vehicle was a white Dodge Ram pickup.<\/p>\n

An emergency alert went to law enforcement shortly after 12:30 a.m.<\/p>\n

Around 1 a.m., the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension reported the girl was located on Interstate 35.<\/p>\n

Authorities said she was found safe inside a vehicle.<\/p>\n

Twenty-eight-year-old Joseph Bragg of Maple Grove was arrested.<\/p>\n

He was booked into the Sherburne County Jail, officials said.<\/p>\n

The sheriff\u2019s office said he will be charged with abduction.<\/p>\n

The child was checked at a hospital and reunited with her family.<\/p>\n

Investigation details<\/h2>\n

Authorities said they believe this was a stranger abduction.<\/p>\n

They also said there was a social media link to the child.<\/p>\n

The sheriff\u2019s office thanked officers and first responders who helped.<\/p>\n

Officials also thanked about 700 volunteers who joined the search.<\/p>\n
