Bemidji, Beltrami County<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 Bemidji police arrested Jessica Lynn McLean after a reported assault, court papers say.<\/p>\n

What the police say happened<\/h2>\n

Police were called about 9:30 p.m. on Jan. 19.<\/p>\n

The call came from the 800 block of America Avenue Northwest in Bemidji.<\/p>\n

Police say McLean broke a mirror inside the home.<\/p>\n

Police say she then tried to cut people with the broken glass.<\/p>\n

Reported injuries<\/h2>\n

A woman at the scene had swelling and a deep cut over her left eye.<\/p>\n

The cut was bleeding heavily, police said.<\/p>\n

She was taken to a hospital for treatment, court papers say.<\/p>\n

The woman signed a medical release, the complaint says.<\/p>\n

She told police McLean hit her with an object.<\/p>\n

She said the room was dark.<\/p>\n

She could not say what she was hit with.<\/p>\n

Arrest details and charges<\/h2>\n

Police later found McLean nearby, the complaint says.<\/p>\n

McLean told officers that another woman came at her first.<\/p>\n

She said she threw the woman down to defend herself.<\/p>\n

Officers wrote that McLean did not speak clearly.<\/p>\n

They said her sentences were not complete.<\/p>\n

Police also reported seeing a broken mirror near her belongings.<\/p>\n

McLean was arrested, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Police say she pulled away during the arrest.<\/p>\n

Police say she told officers \u201cno.\u201d<\/p>\n

Officers say they took her to the ground to place handcuffs.<\/p>\n

McLean now faces a felony assault charge.<\/p>\n

She also faces a misdemeanor charge for obstructing the legal process.<\/p>\n

The complaint notes a long criminal history.<\/p>\n
