The van slid into the southbound lanes and struck two other vehicles. One of those drivers was identified as <strong>Sarah Lee<\/strong>, and the other as <strong>David Martinez<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Grand Forks Fire Department and EMS crews responded quickly to the crash. Bystanders helped check on the people involved while waiting for emergency crews to arrive.<\/p>\n<h2>Injuries and Response<\/h2>\n<p>One person was taken by a private vehicle to a local hospital to be checked for injuries. Fire officials say no one had life\u2011threatening injuries. All drivers were awake and talking when crews arrived.<\/p>\n<p>The overpass was icy and slick at the time of the crash. According to the fire chief, road temperatures were below freezing. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grandforksgov.com\/\">City of Grand Forks<\/a> sent sand trucks to treat the bridge surface.<\/p>\n<h2>Bridge Closure and Cleanup<\/h2>\n<p>The overpass was closed for about 40 minutes while crews cleared the crash scene and spread sand and salt to improve traction. Traffic delays affected the morning commute.<\/p>\n<p>Drivers were urged to slow down and watch for ice on bridges and overpasses.
