Charges<\/h2>\n

Blayze Bradley Cloud, 19, of Bemidji, is charged with felony domestic assault. The charge is listed under Minn. Stat. 609.2242.4.<\/p>\n

Cloud is also charged with fifth-degree assault, a misdemeanor. That charge is listed under Minn. Stat. 609.224.1(2).<\/p>\n

What the police say happened<\/h2>\n

Police were called at about 8:37 p.m. on January 14, 2026. The call reported an assault in progress.<\/p>\n

The incident was reported at an apartment complex. It was on the 800 block of 26th Street NW, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Officers found Cloud in a stairwell, the complaint says. Investigators say he was straddling his sister.<\/p>\n

Both people were crying, the complaint says. Police ordered Cloud to move away.<\/p>\n

His sister is listed as Victim 1 in the complaint.<\/p>\n

Cloud told police he had been drinking, the complaint says. He said the argument started at his mother\u2019s apartment.<\/p>\n

He said his mother asked them to leave. He said they began to wrestle.<\/p>\n

Cloud said he forced his sister out of the unit, the complaint says. The complaint says he admitted to pushing her down the stairs.<\/p>\n

A second person is listed as Victim 2. She told police Cloud threw a bottle at her face.<\/p>\n

She said he then punched her, the complaint says. She said the punch knocked her out of a chair.<\/p>\n

Prior record noted in the complaint<\/h2>\n

The complaint also notes Cloud\u2019s juvenile record. It lists earlier adjudications for assault and threats of violence.<\/p>\n

The complaint ties those cases to St. Louis County.<\/p>\n

Court and bail<\/h2>\n

Cloud made his first court appearance after the arrest. Judge Annie P. Claesson-Huseby set bail at $500 cash with conditions.<\/p>\n

The court also listed a $5,000 bail or bond option with conditions. A $10,000 option was also listed without conditions.<\/p>\n

Cloud was ordered to remain law-abiding. He was also ordered to have no contact with the victims.<\/p>\n

Court records show he remained in custody. An order of detention was signed on January 16, 2026.<\/p>\n
