Stat. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.revisor.mn.gov\/statutes\/cite\/609.50\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">609.50<\/a>).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Background<\/h2>\n<p>Braton-Gilbuena must register as a predatory offender until 2041, the complaint says. The notice said Braton-Gilbuena no longer lived at his listed address in Erhard.<\/p>\n<p>Records showed an eviction from that Erhard home in October 2025, the complaint says. Investigators say he did not file an official address change after the eviction.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint says he emailed the Otter Tail County Sheriff\u2019s Office in late December. He said he planned to move to Fergus Falls.<\/p>\n<p>He was told he had to complete the change in person, the complaint says. He was told to do that five days before moving.<\/p>\n<h2>Arrest details<\/h2>\n<p>On January 14, 2026, law enforcement found him at a home on West Summit Avenue. The home was in the 950 block in Fergus Falls.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint says he claimed he already updated his registration. Investigators say he could not name the person who helped him.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint says he refused to fill out the required paperwork. Officers then told him he was under arrest, the complaint says.<\/p>\n<p>During handcuffing, he pulled his wrist away, the complaint says. He also began headbutting a nearby wall, the complaint says.<\/p>\n<p>Officers gained control and took him to the Otter Tail County Detention Facility.<\/p>\n<h2>Bail and next steps<\/h2>\n<p>Judge Johnathan R. Judd set bail at $1,500 cash with conditions, the court record shows. Other options include a $15,000 bond with conditions, or $30,000 without conditions.<\/p>\n<p>The conditional release terms require him to obey the law. They also require him to appear in court as ordered.<\/p>\n<p>An order of detention was signed on January 15, 2026.
