Charge filed<\/h2>\n

Glenn Walter Olson, 39, of rural Lake Park, is charged in Becker County District Court. The charge is felony fifth-degree drug possession.<\/p>\n

What happened<\/h2>\n

Court records say deputies were sent to Olson\u2019s home on December 11. The call was reported as a disturbance.<\/p>\n

Deputies found Olson outside when they arrived. Records say he was crying. He had minor injuries on his face. Dispatch notes said he was punching himself.<\/p>\n

Records say Olson seemed under the influence of a narcotic. He told deputies he had been doing dishes all day. He said he was tired of arguing with someone inside.<\/p>\n

The temperature was near zero, records say. Deputies offered Olson a seat in the back of a squad car. While there, Olson asked if he could smoke marijuana. A deputy told him not to, records say.<\/p>\n

Deputies also spoke with another person at the home. That person said Olson was throwing items inside, records say. The person said Olson was not making sense. The person also said Olson was hitting his own face. The person said Olson has a history of drug use. The person said Olson left rehab five days earlier, records say.<\/p>\n

What deputies reported finding<\/h2>\n

Records say Olson was on supervised probation at the time. Records say his probation rules bar drug use.<\/p>\n

Deputies took Olson to jail for a urine test, records say. He was also held for a possible probation violation.<\/p>\n

Court records list items found on Olson. Records say there was a metal container with a green leafy substance. Records also mention a smoking device.<\/p>\n

Records also list a small baggie and a paper wrap. Records say both held a white, crystal-like substance. A field test showed methamphetamine, records say.<\/p>\n

Prior case and next court date<\/h2>\n

Records say Olson had a prior felony drug conviction in Anoka County. Records say it was fifth-degree drug possession. The conviction date listed is April 14. Records say he received supervised probation.<\/p>\n

Olson posted $200 cash bail on December 22, records say. He was released under standard conditions. Those include no mood-altering drugs or alcohol, records say.<\/p>\n
