Devils Lake<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Leeds man died Wednesday morning. Officials say he was trapped in a grain bin.<\/p>\n

The death happened at a CHS elevator near Devils Lake. The victim was 34-year-old Enrique Perez of Leeds, North Dakota.<\/p>\n

What officials say happened<\/h2>\n

Dispatchers got the call at about 9:20 am.<\/p>\n

The report said a person was trapped inside a grain bin at the CHS site.<\/p>\n

Emergency crews arrived about 9:28 am, the sheriff’s office says.<\/p>\n

Responders found a man buried in corn inside a grain pit.<\/p>\n

Crews began rescue work right away.<\/p>\n

They removed corn and used special tools to reach him.<\/p>\n

They also tried life-saving steps at the scene.<\/p>\n

Perez was pronounced dead at the elevator.<\/p>\n

The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office says the investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n

Officials did not report any other injuries.<\/p>\n
