Grand Forks (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 Police are investigating after a man was found dead along the Red River.<\/p>\n

What happened<\/h2>\n

Police say the call came in on Wednesday at 2:07 p.m.<\/p>\n

A passerby reported an unresponsive man on the Greenway.<\/p>\n

The location was south of the railroad bridge.<\/p>\n

Officers arrived and found the man face down in the snow.<\/p>\n

Police said he was clearly deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n

No life-saving efforts were started due to the situation.<\/p>\n

Investigation status<\/h2>\n

Investigators did not see obvious trauma at the scene.<\/p>\n

Police have not confirmed a cause of death.<\/p>\n

Cold conditions limited a full body exam at the time.<\/p>\n

Police said more examination work is still needed.<\/p>\n

That work will help determine how the man died.<\/p>\n

Authorities said there is no known threat to the public.<\/p>\n
