Jamestown<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A 19-year-old Jamestown woman is facing a felony charge. Court records say the case involves a 14-year-old boy.<\/p>\n

Valerie Rae Mann was charged Tuesday with gross sexual imposition in Stutsman County District Court, according to court documents.<\/p>\n

What court records say<\/h2>\n

Police were called to a home in the 800 block of Fifth Avenue Southeast at about 11:48 p.m. Monday. A mother reported finding Mann with her 14-year-old son, according to a probable cause statement.<\/p>\n

The mother told officers her 17-year-old son arrived home from work. She said he found Mann and the 14-year-old in a bedroom. The report says the family confronted them and called the police.<\/p>\n

According to court records, the 14-year-old told investigators there was sexual contact. The report also states Mann admitted to sexual contact with the teen.<\/p>\n

Court documents say Mann told police the encounter started in the living room. The report says it then moved to a bedroom. Records state she told police both were willing participants.<\/p>\n

The probable cause statement says the teen reported the two had sexual contact about six times since Jan. 1. Mann denied any other incidents, according to court documents.<\/p>\n

Records also say Mann had been living with the family since about July 2025. Court documents state the family had previously served as foster parents for Mann.<\/p>\n

What happens next<\/h2>\n

Mann was arrested and made her first court appearance on Wednesday, according to court records.<\/p>\n

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 4 in Stutsman County District Court, according to court filings.<\/p>\n
