JAMESTOWN, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – In a shocking incident, Marilyn Kay Hetletvedt of Jamestown has been charged with terrorizing after allegedly threatening to shoot her boss at Menards with an AR-15. According to court documents, Menards recently cut workers’ hours and wages due to declining revenue, which Hetletvedt reportedly took as a personal attack. A coworker reported to the manager that Hetletvedt threatened to “go home and get her AR and come back and show him,” leading to the manager contacting police out of fear for his safety.

The manager also provided police with Facebook photos showing Hetletvedt holding guns, including an AR-15 and a revolver. After being terminated from Menards and issued a no-trespass order, Hetletvedt was arrested at Hugo’s grocery store. She later claimed that her statements were meant as a joke, though court documents reveal she acknowledged the seriousness of her words.

Hetletvedt’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 18th, with a jury trial set for December 26th. If convicted, she faces a mandatory minimum sentence of two years in prison, with the possibility of up to five years and a $10,000 fine.
