Woman with Intellectual Disability Reports Sexual Assault

a disturbing crime to report out of polk county minnesota 69 year old joseph eugene johnson of crookston has been charged with first degree criminal sexual conduct penetration victim mentally impaired according to court documents on august 30th crookston officers took a report from a group home worker about jane doe who has a cognitive disability and iq of 48. she reported to the group home worker that she performed some quote illegal activity in a statement to officers the victim reported that she took the bus to the library and received a call from johnson who lives close to the group home she stated jj johnson told her that he’d come and get her at the library she went outside and got into his vehicle she wanted to go to his apartment but didn’t know what was going to happen at the apartment the victim stated jj started taking off his pants and she was surprised and scared she stated jj told her to perform oral sex on him then he allegedly had or sexual intercourse with her forensic evidence including dna was taken from the victim in johnson and was sent to the bca for analysis the victim reported johnson engaged in three kinds of sex with her without her consent she also stated she had never engaged in sexual intercourse before johnson’s criminal history includes criminal sexual conduct 5th degree in 2012 criminal solicitation prostitution in 2012 and a controlled substance crime in 2015. as of 3 30 pm on this thursday afternoon johnson remains in jail with bail set at 25 dollars cash the charge of first degree criminal sexual conduct carries a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison i’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me
