Woman Faces Charges in Hallock, Minnesota After Authorities Set a Trap

HALLOCK, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Ashley Bothum, a 36-year-old resident of Karlstad, Minnesota, is facing a felony burglary charge and a misdemeanor theft charge in Hallock, Minnesota. According to court documents, a small safe was reported stolen from the Valley Vision Eye Clinic in Hallock on June 10th. Additionally, small amounts of money had been going missing since Bothum was hired.

To catch the perpetrator, authorities set a trap on June 26th by placing two $50 bills, along with other clinic money, in a desk drawer and installing two hidden surveillance cameras. On August 2nd, the trap was sprung when an unidentified woman was caught on camera taking the cash. The investigation subsequently led to Bothum, resulting in charges against her.
