Langdon, North Dakota (trfnews.i234.me) – We have a major update following the shocking street fight captured by a TRF News viewer early Sunday morning in downtown Langdon.
According to a criminal complaint, 24-year-old Aliaa Janis of Langdon has now been formally charged with felony aggravated assault. The incident unfolded at 1:21 a.m. near Eagle’s Bar at the intersection of Third Street and 7th Avenue, while Cavalier County deputies were already on an unrelated call nearby.
Sheriff Wright reported observing two women fighting in the middle of the road, including Janis, who was allegedly grabbing the other woman by the hair and repeatedly slamming her head toward the ground. Despite multiple commands to release the victim, Janis reportedly did not comply until the sheriff threatened to use a taser.
After separating the two, the sheriff observed blood on both parties. Both women claimed the other initiated the confrontation. However, after reviewing video footage of the altercation, Sheriff Wright noted that Aliaa Janis smashed the victim’s head against the concrete at least three times, and the victim appeared defenseless before losing consciousness.
The injured woman was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Janis was taken into custody at the scene.
A source close to the case claims the situation escalated after a man and another woman had allegedly been threatening Janis and her sister throughout the night. The confrontation reportedly exploded into violence once they stepped outside.
This incident remains under investigation, and further updates will follow as more information becomes available.
