Thief River Falls, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – In a concerning incident on February 3 around 6:40 a.m., law enforcement responded to a report of a person passed out in a parked vehicle at Northland Village. Upon arrival, authorities discovered Amy Marie Reierson, 44, of Thief River Falls, asleep in the driver’s seat of the running vehicle.
After waking Reierson, deputies detected a strong smell of marijuana emanating from the vehicle and observed signs of impairment. A Minnesota State Patrol trooper assisted with field sobriety testing, during which Reierson purportedly confessed to using methamphetamine the previous day and having methamphetamine and marijuana in her possession.
Further investigation inside the vehicle led to the discovery of 0.7 grams of methamphetamine, a scale with meth residue, a glass pipe testing positive for meth, and zip-top bags – indicative of drug sales.
Reierson was subsequently charged with felony fifth-degree controlled substance crime – possession of over 0.25 grams of methamphetamine – and misdemeanor fourth-degree driving while impaired under the influence of a controlled substance. The complaint was officially filed on March 13.
