WINTHROP, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – On June 24, 2025, at 2:38 p.m., a Baja Raptor Z mobility scooter and a 2017 Ford Escape collided while traveling eastbound on Highway 19 near Main Street in Winthrop, Sibley County.
Amy Elizabeth Swanson, 53, of Winthrop, was operating the scooter and suffered non-life-threatening injuries. She was transported to New Ulm Medical Center.
The Ford Escape driver, Jessica Donelle Hertzog, 33, of Janesville, was uninjured. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, and alcohol was not a factor.
Responding agencies included the Winthrop Police Department, Sibley County Sheriff’s Office, and Winthrop Ambulance.
