Polk County (trfnews.i234.me) — A Winger woman faces DWI and obstruction charges after a crash at a local bar, according to a criminal complaint.
Patricia Kaye Polley, 71, of Winger, is charged in Polk County District Court.
The charges include gross misdemeanor third-degree driving while impaired.
She is also charged with misdemeanor DWI and misdemeanor obstruction of the legal process.
Crash reported at the Winger bar
According to the complaint, deputies were called to the “Liquor Pigs” bar in Winger.
The call came in at about 11:54 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
Dispatch first reported a customer who needed medical help.
When law enforcement arrived, they found a black 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
The Jeep was crashed into the side of the building, the complaint says.
Polley was still in the driver’s seat, with bystanders around the vehicle.

Witnesses describe events before the crash
Witnesses told deputies Polley fell earlier that night.
They said she hit her face on the bar, according to the complaint.
Staff then stopped serving her alcohol, witnesses reported.
When medical responders arrived, Polley appeared to panic, the complaint says.
Witnesses said she tried to leave in her Jeep.
One witness told deputies he followed her to the vehicle.
He said he reached into the driver’s door to try to shut off the engine.
He reported she drove into the building anyway, the complaint states.
Claimed struggle at the driver’s seat
Deputies ordered Polley to get out of the Jeep, the complaint says.
She was described as uncooperative.
The complaint says she reached for the gear shift.
A deputy then pulled her from the driver’s seat, according to the complaint.
Polley later admitted she drank “a lot,” the complaint says.
A preliminary breath test showed a 0.17 alcohol concentration.
That is more than double Minnesota’s legal driving limit.
