Williams County Trucker Killed in Fatal Rollover After Striking Cow on Highway

A 64-year-old Williston man tragically lost his life in a rollover crash late Saturday, September 7, 2024, after his 1991 Kenworth truck collided with a cow on 69th Ave. NW, approximately 23 miles north of Williston, North Dakota.

At around 10:53 PM CST, the truck was traveling eastbound when it encountered the cow in the roadway. The driver attempted to brake and swerve, but the truck struck the animal, veered off the road, and rolled. The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cow’s owner, identified as Michael Skor, was notified. The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol, with assistance from the Williams County Sheriff’s Office, Williston Fire Department, and Grenora Ambulance Service.
