West Fargo, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – After a year-long investigation, West Fargo Police have confirmed that the death of Alexander Anderson, 38, is being closed and ruled a suicide.
Officers were initially dispatched at 3:36 a.m. on July 15, 2024, to a reported medical emergency in the 1400 block of 12th St. W at West Creek Apartments. Upon arrival, they found Anderson with a stab wound to the chest.
Despite life-saving efforts, Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Robyn Lee, 31, of West Fargo, was taken into custody following the incident but was never formally charged. At the time, the Cass County State’s Attorney’s Office stated:
“We conducted a thorough review of the currently available evidence and are declining to file any criminal charges at this time.”
That decision drew public interest, given the violent nature of Anderson’s death. Now, one year later, authorities say the case is being closed as a suicide based on the totality of evidence reviewed.
No further details have been released by officials regarding what specifically led to the determination of suicide.
