Weekly Sheriff Report Released in Red Lake County

Red Lake County ( trfnews.i234.me ) – The Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office has released its weekly activity report, outlining several calls and citations handled across the county between November 8 and November 14.

Dog Running Loose Leads to Citation

On the morning of November 8, a deputy responded to a report of a loose dog in Red Lake Falls. A caller reported that the dog was running at large and harassing people. The owner, identified as 46-year-old Sheila Marie Olberg of Red Lake Falls, was cited for a city ordinance violation.

Harassment Report Under Investigation

Later that afternoon, a county resident reported a possible harassment restraining order violation. Deputies began an investigation, which remains active.

Hunter Asked to Move Vehicle

On the afternoon of November 10, deputies were called to Lake Pleasant Township for a vehicle parked in the roadway and blocking traffic. A Red Lake County deputy contacted the owner, who was hunting in the area. The hunter moved the vehicle to a safer location.

Vehicle Fire Near Plummer

During the morning hours of November 12, the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a vehicle fire along Highway 59 south of Plummer. The Plummer Fire Department and a deputy responded. The fire was put out, and no injuries were reported. The damaged vehicle was towed from the scene.

Harassment Complaint in Red Lake Falls

That same afternoon, a Red Lake Falls resident reported to deputies that they were being harassed by another individual. Deputies spoke with the complainant and provided advice.

Citations Issued in Oklee and Red Lake Falls

On the afternoon of November 12, 51-year-old Scott David Panek of Oklee was cited for misdemeanor driving after revocation on County Road 5.

On the morning of November 14, 42-year-old Ashley Jean Benson of Mentor was cited for speeding on Bridge Street in Red Lake Falls.
