Warroad, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A Warroad woman is now facing a felony charge of second-degree assault after allegedly stabbing a man in the arm during a violent domestic altercation early Wednesday morning.
On June 25, 2025, around 3:20 a.m., Warroad Police were dispatched to 609 Jackson Street SE for a report of a stabbing. Officers located a male victim with a stab wound to his upper arm, bleeding heavily and fearing for his life.
Initially evasive, the victim did not identify his attacker. However, officers followed the trail to Apartment 203, where they found Marissa Rose Martin, age 23, crying and visibly distraught.
Martin admitted to the stabbing, claimed ongoing abuse since 2019, and said the incident began with an argument over infidelity. She stated the victim pushed her, and she reacted by grabbing a knife and stabbing him once in the arm.
Martin has been charged with Second-Degree Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, a felony punishable by up to 7 years in prison and/or a $14,000 fine.
