East Grand Forks, MN (trfnews.i234.me)—Seferino Martinez Garza III, a Warren, Minnesota resident, is now facing two felony charges after allegedly threatening to kill East Grand Forks police officers during a disturbance call at Brentwood Estates on January 29, 2025.
According to court documents, officers responded to a complaint that Garza was yelling from a balcony and inside an apartment on 17th Street Northwest. When police arrived, they instructed Garza to lower his voice, but he responded by telling officers to “shut the f* up.”**
Upon running his information, dispatch alerted officers that Garza had outstanding warrants from Marshall County. As officers attempted to take him into custody, Garza allegedly pulled out a folding knife, which was immediately seized by police.
During the arrest, Garza reportedly made violent threats, telling officers:
“I will f***ing kill you. I know your name. I will kill you and your family.”
Garza is now facing two new felony charges of threats of violence. The case remains under investigation, and legal proceedings are pending.
