Warning: The most severe part of the winter storm is expected west of the Red River.

GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) The National Weather Service is forecasting heavy snow to move into the Valley on this Thursday evening. The worst of it is expected from the Red River and west.
here’s a look of grand forks looking west from the und atmospheric sciences sky cam later on a thursday afternoon we’ve got a winter storm warning in effect basically for the western red river valley over to the devils lake basin from 6 pm on this thursday evening through 9 pm friday now heavy snow is expected accumulating snow tonight through friday some areas may receive heavier snow amounts than depicted the threat area for the heaviest snow is within an area from the devils lake basin into the southern red river valley areas of snowfall within the circled area will likely see larger variations in totals the favored corridor for areas of minor blowing and drifting snow impacts will be west of the red river valley on friday friday morning commute will be impacted from the red river valley going west looking better going east into minnesota i’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me
