Walsh County (trfnews.i234.me) — Shocking allegations have emerged from Park River, North Dakota, where Patrick Donald Aune is facing a felony charge of domestic violence aggravated assault following a violent altercation with a male family member.

According to court documents, the dispute began over the ownership of personal belongings. Tensions escalated until Aune allegedly attacked the victim, choking him while the victim was pinned on his back, and striking him in the back of the head.

The victim was able to provide a detailed statement to authorities, reporting both the physical restraint and the blows he received during the incident.

In response to police questioning, Aune did not deny the altercation but claimed he was merely “restraining” the victim during the confrontation.

Aune now faces a felony-level charge, and his case will proceed through the Walsh County District Court. No information regarding the bond or a scheduled court date has been publicly released yet.

This case adds to growing concerns over domestic violence incidents in North Dakota, where law enforcement agencies continue to emphasize the seriousness of aggravated assaults within families.
