Walsh County (trfnews.i234.me) – A wild domestic disturbance at Madachuk Dam campground near Fordville ended with Mackenzey L. Sangrait of Lankin, North Dakota, being forcibly restrained by four deputies after a chaotic and violent arrest on June 20th.
Authorities say Sangrait was reportedly intoxicated, throwing items, and struck a victim—a relative—with an object, causing pain. When deputies tried to arrest him for domestic violence, he resisted, pulled away, and had to be taken to the ground.
The situation escalated when Sangrait:
-
Refused to enter the patrol car, shouting “F you, I’m not getting in”
-
Wrapped his handcuff chain around a deputy’s hand, causing pain
-
Headbutted a deputy above the right eye
-
Tried to grab a deputy’s taser, prompting a defensive elbow strike
He was ultimately seat-belted, shackled, and transported from the scene.
Sangrait is now charged with:
-
Felony Simple Assault on a Peace Officer
-
Misdemeanor Preventing Arrest
-
Misdemeanor Domestic Violence Simple Assault
