Walsh Co. Rollover Crash Injures Cement Truck Driver

Walsh County ( trfnews.i234.me ) – A St. Thomas man suffered serious injuries after a cement truck crash in Walsh County on Tuesday morning.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the rollover occurred on September 2 at about 7:49 a.m. on ND Highway 17 near mile marker 140, about 12 miles east of Grafton. Road and weather conditions were clear and dry at the time.

Crash Details

Authorities say the driver, a 69-year-old man, was operating a 2011 Kenworth cement truck when he failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle entered the south ditch and rolled. The driver was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Emergency Response

The Walsh County Sheriff’s Office, Grafton Fire Department, and Valley Ambulance Service responded to the scene. The driver was transported by ambulance to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks with serious injuries.

Investigation Ongoing

The North Dakota Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash. No other vehicles were involved.
