A 66-year-old man from Walhalla, ND, was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash on the afternoon of September 20, 2024. The crash occurred at approximately 4:20 p.m. on 100th Avenue NE, two miles north of Tolna.
The driver was heading northbound in a 2011 Chevrolet Suburban when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed the centerline, vaulted off a driveway, and came to rest in a ditch. The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained serious injuries. Airbags deployed upon impact.
The man was transported to CHI St. Alexius Health in Devils Lake by McVille Ambulance Service. The crash is currently under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
