WAHPETON, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) – Charges have been filed against Nathan Deemer III, 20, following a domestic assault incident that led to a tense standoff with authorities in Wahpeton. Deemer faces charges including terrorizing a child victim, preventing arrest, reckless endangerment, and domestic violence.
The incident unfolded when Deemer allegedly assaulted a family member and threatened them with a gun. As tensions escalated, a shelter-in-place order was issued for part of Wahpeton. Fortunately, the family managed to exit the house safely.
After approximately three hours, Deemer attempted to flee through a rear exit but was apprehended by law enforcement.
