Wadena (trfnews.i234.me) — A Plymouth man faces felony assault charges after a hotel dispute in Wadena.

Gregory James Pasquarette, 32, of Plymouth, is charged with felony domestic assault by strangulation.

He is also charged with felony domestic assault.

A misdemeanor fourth-degree criminal damage to property charge was also filed.

What the complaint says

Police responded to a noise complaint at the Eastwood Inn Hotel around 3:16 a.m. on January 31, 2026.

Officers reported hearing arguing inside a room.

Court records say Pasquarette opened the door.

He allegedly gave a false name, “Greg Pete,” at first.

Officers also noted an odor of alcohol.

The complaint says items were scattered around the room.

A woman was seen on the far side of the bed.

She was crying and upset, the complaint says.

The woman told police she tried to call for help.

She said Pasquarette took her phone and broke it.

Officers reported finding the broken phone under a table.

The woman also reported being strangled during the argument.

She said Pasquarette put his hands on her throat.

She described an “X” grip with crossed thumbs.

The complaint says her breathing was blocked.

Officers reported marks on her neck and throat.

Damage reported at the hotel

Police also reported damage to a hotel room door.

They said a door handle was missing from a nearby room.

They also reported marks on the door.

They said it looked like it had been struck.

The complaint says the woman locked Pasquarette out.

It says he forced his way back in.

Charges and court

The case was filed on February 3, 2026.

The alleged offense date is January 31, 2026.

Judge Doug Clark set bail at $2,000 with conditions, court records say.

Those conditions include a no-contact order.

The judge also ordered standard release terms.
