OTTER TAIL COUNTY, Minn. (trfnews.i234.me) – On December 4th, Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report involving 49-year-old Sean Raymond Weber of Wadena. According to court documents, Weber allegedly assaulted a victim and prevented them from leaving a location in Otter Tail County.
Upon arrival, deputies found Weber in a vehicle, blocking the victim’s departure. Despite commands to exit the vehicle, Weber fled the scene, leading deputies on a pursuit along County Highway 75, reaching speeds of approximately 85 miles per hour. Law enforcement deployed stop sticks, successfully slowing the vehicle. The pursuit covered approximately 6.5 miles until Weber’s vehicle entered a ditch.
At the scene, officials observed burn marks on the bed inside the residence. The victim reported that during the incident, Weber stated an intention to burn the place down, ignited a torch, and attempted to set the bed on fire. The victim managed to extinguish the fire.
Weber has been charged with two felony counts of domestic assault, one felony count of fleeing in a motor vehicle, and one misdemeanor count of fifth-degree arson. His next court appearance is scheduled for December 30th.
