PARK RAPIDS, Minn. (trfnews.i234.me) – A fatal crash Sunday night, four miles south of Park Rapids, claimed the life of 72-year-old Thomas Kolden of Wadena, Minnesota. According to the State Patrol, Kolden was driving a car when he pulled out in front of a pickup at the intersection of U.S. Highway 71 and Minnesota Highway 87. The collision sent both vehicles into the ditch.
Kolden tragically died at the scene, while the driver and passenger of the pickup, 64-year-old Steven Rodke and 75-year-old Mickie Rodke, both from Hawley, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. They were transported to CHI St. Joseph’s Hospital in Park Rapids.
Emergency services, including North Ambulance, Park Rapids Hospital staff, and local law enforcement agencies, responded to the scene.
