Wabasha County (trfnews.i234.me) – A crash involving a Jeep Grand Cherokee occurred on December 7, 2025, on US Highway 61 near Milepost 65, in Pepin Township, Wabasha County. The incident took place around 10:34 p.m.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling southbound on US Hwy 61 when it left the roadway and came to a stop in a ditch. The vehicle was affected by snow and icy road conditions at the time of the crash.

The driver, Lucas Arruda Olson, a 20-year-old male from Rochester, MN, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Wabasha Hospital. Olson was wearing his seatbelt, and the Jeep’s airbags deployed during the collision. Alcohol was not involved in the crash.

Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office, Wabasha Fire Department, and Wabasha Ambulance assisted at the scene.
