Violent Thunderstorm Causes Widespread Damage Across Region

ND & MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A Friday night thunderstorm swept through the region from Mayville, North Dakota, to Bemidji, Minnesota, causing significant damage and power outages.

In Mayville, a viewer captured footage of a tree that had fallen onto a car. The National Weather Service reported wind gusts of up to 70 mph in the area, along with golf ball-sized hail. In nearby Portland, strong winds toppled grain bins near the Cenex along Highway 200. As the storm moved east, it caused additional tree damage and power outages in Bemidji.
