Polk County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) — Djai Johnson of Crookston, Minnesota, is facing serious legal consequences after being charged with felony domestic assault stemming from a violent incident involving his roommate.
According to court documents, on May 30th, tensions between Johnson and his male roommate escalated as the roommate was in the process of moving out due to ongoing disagreements. An argument ensued in a parking lot, during which Johnson allegedly reached through the window of the roommate’s vehicle and struck him in the face four to five times. When the victim exited the vehicle, Johnson reportedly continued the assault by punching and kicking him.
This is not Johnson’s first encounter with the law regarding assault; he has a prior conviction from 2018. The case underscores the serious legal consequences of repeated violent behavior.
Authorities are continuing their investigation. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact local law enforcement.
