OTTER TAIL CO., Minn. (trfnews.i234.me) — Donald Merrill Jr., a 25-year-old from Vergas, Minnesota, has pleaded guilty to the burglary of Billy’s Corner Bar and Grill. The crime occurred in late March when Merrill smashed the front window of the bar and stole a handgun that was intended to be raffled off.
According to court records, surveillance footage captured Merrill breaking into the establishment and removing the gun from its display case. Otter Tail County deputies later arrested him after executing a search warrant at his residence, where the stolen gun was recovered.
